5.4.1: There is a registered Alumni Association that contributes significantly to the development of the institution through financial and/or other support services
The Alumni Association acts as a link between the “Alma Mater” and
the “Alumni”. It is moving ahead, with selfless intentions for the growth and
development of the institute and the students. The association provides a
platform for interaction between alumni, present students, faculty of the
institute and institute administration. It has contributed significantly
through financial and non-financial means during the last five years to improve
the facilities and infrastructure of the college with the help of the active
participation of the alumni.
Alumni associations play a vital role in fostering
industry-institute interactions, providing valuable opportunities for present
students, and facilitating the overall development of higher education
institutions. By understanding and leveraging the power of alumni connections,
higher education institutions can enhance the educational experience for their
students and create a strong network of support and advancement.
Our Institute Govt Tulsi College Anuppur registered our Alumni
Association on 30th November 2022. Since then it is acting as
a bridge between our passed out students and our new students.
The mission of alumni association of our college:
l To strengthen communication between alumni and the college.
l Encourage participation in Alumni related programs.
l Provide opportunities to alumni to participate in the continued
growth and development of the college.
l Increase alumni participation in fund raising activities.
l The Alumni can help final
year students in their project work and also in employment opportunities.
l Alumni can give guest
lecturers for the students to get exposure to the cutting-edge technologies,
research and development and entrepreneurship.
l Alumni members meet for
annual get-together every year and all the Alumni present are taken around the
campus and outstation Alumni who wish to attend the annual get-together meeting
are provided with all comforts.
l All the Alumni can participate in various entertainment programs
and games organized by the College. College life is one of the most adorable
moments in the life of any educated person.
l Aims and objectives are, to collect raise funds for the college
from different agencies to strengthen the economic condition of the college, to
make a close co-ordination with the college authority, to focus on programmes
that aims towards the development of the college.
l To promote such activities
that encourage the development of potentials and talents of the students.
l To help the authority in
providing financial helps to students of merit who comes from weak
socio-economic status and also to the differently abled students.
l To arrange seminar,
workshop etc. on progressive and important topics which can help the students
in their all-round development so that they can take
l their part in ‘nation
building’.
l To make programmers for counseling on career guidance. To
undertake some social service schemes like flood relief camps, health camps
etc.
Contribution of the Alumni Association:
- The Alumni Association has
granted Prizes, books and stationery to the poor and deserving students,
etc. at a personally appropriate level.
- The Association grants
funds to innovative projects to aspiring students and thereby encourages
the Research & Development of the institute.
- Various social welfare and
awareness activities organized by the institute such as Swatchata Abhiyan,
Tree plantation, Blood Donation Camp, Free Medical and eye test camp,
Covid Vaccination drive and many more were implemented to create
self-reliance among the present students and especially the poor and the
needy.
- They have provided career
and vocational guidance for professional and career development.
- The members of the
Association get every type of possible assistance.
