Introduction of IKS (Indian Knowledge System)

IKS Committee (Indian Knowledge System) at Tulsi College, Anuppur, under the Prime Minister’s Centre of Excellence (PMCOE), is responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of education in the institution. The IKS Committee within this cell focuses on integrating traditional Indian knowledge with modern education.

Objectives of the IKS Committee:

  • Promote Indian Knowledge: Integrate India's ancient wisdom and knowledge systems into contemporary learning practices.
  • Holistic Development: Encourage students to learn about India's diverse cultural, scientific, and philosophical traditions.
  • Curriculum Innovation: Suggest changes to the curriculum that reflect Indian values, knowledge, and heritage.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Organize events to spread awareness and understanding of Indian traditions, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedic sciences, and classical arts.
  • Research and Collaboration: Promote research in Indian knowledge systems and collaborate with other institutions to foster a deep understanding of India's intellectual traditions.

The committee, composed of faculty members, is dedicated to creating a bridge between India's ancient knowledge and modern educational methods, ensuring students benefit from a well-rounded learning experience.
