About the Department :

The Department of History is an important and prominent department at Government Tulsi College Anuppur, which provides students with opportunities for in-depth study and research in various historical periods and subjects. The objective of this department is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of various aspects of history, so that they can deeply understand the evolution of society, culture and politics. Our curriculum is structured around a Learning Outcome-based approach, placing students at the center of their educational journey.

Objective :

The objective of the History Department, is to impart a thorough understanding of historical events, societies, and cultures. We strive to foster critical thinking, research skills, and cultural appreciation, preparing students for academic excellence, lifelong learning, and meaningful contributions to society.  

Career Prospects :

While research and teaching are obvious career options for History students, the course also provides foundation for other career opportunities in Social work, Tourism, Heritage Management, Publication, Journalism and Bureaucracy.
